About Ligia

First off, the question I'm asked most often - "How do you pronounce your name?"

Just click on the audio link below and I'll tell you!

Now that the name thing is out of the way, here's the rest of the story:

I've always had a creative brain. From a young age, I found I had a talent for the performing arts — a profession built on imagination and self-expression. I thought the theater would be my calling, but life had other plans.

After graduating from the University of South Florida in 1979 with a BA in Mass Communications, I landed a job in public television. And not the glossy, ultra high-tech version we see today — this was early 1980s broadcasting, long before smartphones, social media, or even office computers were the norm.

One of my proudest achievements from that chapter was earning a local advertising award for “Best Campaign of 1980” while working at WEDU, the PBS station in Tampa, FL. I was less than a year out of college, tasked to assist my boss with developing a campaign for the station’s annual fundraising auction. I didn’t even know I was nominated until the award showed up in my mailbox (we're talking snail mail not email). That campaign is still the only professional award I’ve ever received—but it means the world to me.

Over time, my career path zigzagged through a wide range of industries: market research, finance, non-profits, construction. Every twist and turn added new tools to my creative toolbox, and every role helped shape the person I am today.

These days, I’m proud to be celebrating 50+ years in the workforce. But don’t count this old dog out — I'm always learning new tricks.

So if you’re looking for someone with a creative mind, decades of real-world experience, and a passion for getting things done — let’s connect. I’m excited to see what we can create together. Just go to the BOOK YOUR CONSULTATION page to get started. I'm excited to meet you.
